Wesley Charter

Wesley School staff have been implementing the RULER curriculum with students for 2 years now. As part of this curriculum, classroom teachers facilitate the creation of a "Class Charter", where students identify how they want to feel in school and what they can do to feel that way.

This year, Normand Laflamme, Wesley's SEL Interventionist, merged all of the individual class charters into a Whole School Charter and displayed it in a prominent location. All students and staff view the charter on their way to their classrooms.

At Wesley School, our students want to feel:

  •  Happy,
  • Safe,
  • Respected, and
  • Proud.

To feel this way, our Wesley School students agree to:

  • be kind,
  • help others,
  • include others, and
  • listen more.

(Nice job, Wesley! Thank you, Ms. Waszkiewicz for this story submission!)
